Some breaking news - a bomb has been found in the centre of London this morning at 2am (UK time). This has now been defused and the police are investigating.

As an ex Londoner who worked in the area affected...

Most people will be saying "Oh darn, I will be late for work now"

Really, it was always my experiance that at times like this, London folk just get on with it. I know I did.
Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen]
Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well

"Oh darn"? You sure it was London where you worked?

It will be business as usual. A lot of Londoners haven't forgotten the regular alerts from the IRA. I've only been there a couple of times and on my first visit, I couldn't understand why there were no bins, but of course, they are a popular place to hide explosives.

Ok, so perhaps they would say [expletive deleted] and, [expletive deleted] or of course, they might feel really [expletive deleted] and say that the terrorists are [expletive deleted]

Of course, what is amazing, is that they can say "[" and "]"

I understand the first part, but can you translate the "adam and eve" part please?

"adam and eve it" is rhyming slang for "believe it" and is actually quite commonly adopted (usually for emphasis or sarcasm) across the whole of England, not just the East End of London where the slang originated.

Just a quick update

It seems there were two cars parked in two locations, one was spotted by an ambulance crew attending a incident at a nearby nightclub - One of the first police on site saw a mobile (cell) phone attatched to the device and removed the phone asap.

So, to those members of the emergency services, well done and I hope you get the recognition that you all deserve

The other car? It was towed away for a parking offence - and the car pound staff alerted police when they saw fumes.

Still, as I said before, life will go on, as, if it does not, then the terrorist wins

I'm telling you, they should make traffic wardens the premier emergency response unit. They are the only enforcement service that you can ALWAYS count on being there IMMEDIATELY and WITHOUT FAIL
