A free for all could be interesting with a time limit for the whole game.    
I missed the 12 hour deadline   this morning because I had to spend some time getting to the office this morning and then setting up my computer at the office   - you know the sort of thing that pays me so that I can own all those DVDs and the profiler etc.   

The idea of ordering by timezone could also help if we decided to stick to a specific order, especially if we get people into the game from both coasts in the USA as well as people from Australasia and environs to spread the game globally - it would means that the 12 hour limit between answers would be easier to adhere to, especially if the time difference between people is no more than 6 hours. I found that following Rico, who is on California, and therefore around 11 hours behind me in SA made matching the 12 hour limit difficult because when he is answering I am generally NOT on the computer, but actually watching some of the backlog I have.

That takes care of the coasts of the US.   Now all we need are some people from the Australasia area, preferably 1 from each side to spread the zones a bit.

I agree; 6 hours and 2 minutes should be the the exact posting time for response. We can allow 10-15 sec obligingness - we are no nitpickers

It is winter here and pretty cold but not freezing, although we did freeze a few weeks ago.

Well, you have 12 hours to respond, then the next has 12 hours... If you miss your "timeslot", I would say that dissappears together with you, and Caroline would then have to post her answer within 24 hours of Kahless' post (assuming the order is Kahless -> Rico -> Caroline).

At least, that seems fair to me...
