| Posted: | | | | Are other people having contributions "skipped" for no good reason?
I've just all my "Theron Tooche Lykes" common name contributions for 1993's The Fugitive all approved - apart from the first one.
6 have been approved. 1 is doing nothing.
I'm not making any changes other than the common name change (which has documentation).
I've had this happen several times with several different things and have to recontribute each "skipped" Profile to have it approved.
I'm aware that there is a second-level approval process for questionable changes, but each time this happens, there seems to be no reason for it. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

I've had that happen before, but don't know the reason for it. I've also have a new profile contribution from 9 days ago which has been passed over. I really don't understand the delay for those since no one can vote on new profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | I was certainly hoping these would be approved after 14 days, but they continue to be passed over. |

| Posted: | | | | I have some outstanding from the 23rd of March, including new profiles. I'm not sure if I should resubmit them or not. |

| Posted: | | | | Happening again. While one contribution only took 5 days to be approved and released, another is still sitting there from November 10th. Nothing major being submitted (like new BY, credits) and it has 5 yes votes, 0 no votes. Not sure what gives.
Edit: In fact, the one approved 5 days later had MORE info being submitted than the other which only were features, overview and cover scans. | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

| Posted: | | | | Things have definitely changed over the years as new contributions were supposed to be much quicker (no ability to vote on them) yet they now take 10+ days for each one to be approved. I'm guessing initial contributions are approved by someone else than the updates to existing profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | I recently made an interesting discovery. I updated some profiles that were missing color information. Most of them also had some other changes; birth year, common name or whatever. But the ones that had only color information added were approved immediately.
I can only surmise that this is bug in the bot. While color info is a very simple piece of information, it's not so simple that you cannot get it wrong. I have seen that happen. So it should be voted on. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

I can't remember the last time contributed a profile update which was only colour information and it wasn't instantly approved. I agree with you that it does need to be voted on or the same by the screeners because you could, in theory, put Black and White for a very colourful film and the system would immediately approve that update. |

So it should be voted on. There's been a bug for the Dynamic Range since 2017. If someone is submitting profile changes along with the color format, but they don't have the dynamic range set, the dynamic range change won't show up on the contribution and it will remove the dynamic range when the profile is approved. |

This is intentional since back in the day when the color field was added to the program. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | That one profile from the 10th still has not been approved while others submitted way later have. Tempted to resubmit, maybe it just got lost in the shuffle. |

| Posted: | | | | Eventually they get Accepted/Released or Declined. Why some take so long...no clue, but it's still working. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

| Posted: | | | | My Scrooged 4K UK profile is stil pending since 19th of November. Other more recent contributions by others have all been approved. You would think that new profiles would be approved 1st and within 2 days. There is no system or reason not to. |

| Posted: | | | | I've noticed that, since the end of December, the new contributions are still pending whereas profile updates have taken about five days to be released. |
