Hi.

I switched from 2.4 to 3.0.2 and all my collection was restored fine although I now find most of the profiles unavailable in the new DVDProfiler Online database.

Is there a way to "bulk upload" all of my current DVDs that doesn't already have a online profile??

Right now the only way I have is going to "Add DVD", search for the title/UPC and if not present go to "Contribute profile" but I don't want to check DVDs one by one

Bad news is (I think) there is no easy way to see "en masse" if titles are int eh database.

Good news is that if you Flag your whole collection you can then do Collection -> Flagged -> Contribute which will auto-contribute all of your titles one at a time.

If a title has no entry in the database it will just go 'straight in', if it does it will bring up the 'justification page' in your browser... which you can ignore and just go on to the next one.

Hi,

you can "Refresh all images". Uncheck "Close this window when complete". You can see all that are not in the online DB with a yellow cross. Then only flag those (OK seems a little more work if you have a large collection)

the problem with refreshing all images is that instead of the nice large good quality image that you have in a profile this could get replaced by a crappy small out of focus postage stamp.

I always preview EVERYTHING.

standing in for the skipper...

all i can say is i hope all those en masse profiles have been reviewed and updated to 3.x standards, with CoO, correct disc ids, et al, so those of use who also own them won't have to go through countless additional updates to correct them--which in our first throes enthusiasm for the update and rebuilding the database--has happened too often...

Try this: Add column LastEdited in Collection List -
profiles before 15.03.07 are most likely not in the Online-DB

@Voltaire53

I did it yesterday, I noticed that if the profile already exists the popup dialog deselects automatically the "contribute cover images" so I just cancelled those and sent the ones that were not in the database.

@Krikarian

These profiles have not been reviewed/updated for 3.x, the restore process of my DB should have taken care of the "Full EAN" issue , other than that I imagine that Cast/Crew/Title/... are pretty much the same.
Anyway, it's been one month since DVDProfiler 3 release and they weren't on the database, I for certain prefer one slightly incorrect profile than nothing at all.

Anyway probably you won't see any of them unless you are in Location: Spain since they are all Spanish releases.

well, that's one way to look at it.

and hey, i have several Spanish releases in my collection...one just does not buy the p&s u.s. versions of abre los ojos and tesis when you can get beautiful versions from the source country.

If you use Rho's skin, you can select a view that shows you the contributers list, if it is blank you then you know it has not yet been added.

You can also click on the link in the default skin to do the same thing, but this is faster.
