| Posted: | | | | Can anyone name some movies that as an extra include an earlier/other distinct feature-length incarnation of the film (in full)? If you can think of a feature-film that's included as an extra but is not a version of the main film, feel free to list it too. I don't mean sequels or themed boxsets.
I own 1984: Edición Limitada (1956 + 1954's BBC Sunday-Night Theatre version) Ben-Hur: Four Disc Collector's Edition (1956 + 1925) Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (1932 + 1941 packaged together as a double) The King and I: 50th Anniversary Edition (includes the 1st episode of Anna and the King) The Wizard of Oz: Three Disc Collector's Edition (1939 + several earlier versions)
Aware of The Ten Commandments: 50th Anniversary Collection (1956 + 1923)* The Lost World: Special Edition (1960 + 1925)
* I only found out about this tonight
Anyone got any to add? | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Kinoniki: Quote: The Maltese Falcon (R1) includes two(!) previous makings. I was going to post about that one--a really nice set with other very good extras. (And would you believe, one of the previous versions was a screwball comedy?) No exactly fitting this vein, but interesting as an aside: I have an edition of Charade, the 1963 film with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, that has as a bonus feature a different film with the same name: a James and Pamela Mason vehicle from 1953. |

| Posted: | | | | Outerworld, 2004 Directors Cut (78 min.) contains as an extra the Full Length Original version 'Star Quest: Beyond the Rising Moon, 1987 (96 min.) Honestly, I've seen them both and the Directors Cut is the version to watch; if you want to watch the Original version, just look at the Deleted Scenes because pretty much that's what they cut out for the Directors Cut. | | | In the end; Winning is the only safety.
